That phrase was said in just about every World War II movie I ever saw. It was usually said during a break in the action, just before the troops were going to go off to battle. Officially, it meant that if you had cigarettes, smoke them now because shit was about to get real and you wouldn't have the chance again for a long time.
In my world, it means say how you feel about someone because you may never get the chance ever again. In other words, take advantage of your opportunities while you have them. I've said it before but it does nobody any good to say nice things about someone after that person's gone. People need to hear these things while they're still alive or around. When they're gone, the moment's past.
One of the great things that I'll treasure forever is that I got a chance to tell my uncle how much he meant to my life before he passed on a while back. At least he knew. Some people aren't so lucky. Some lives are taken too abruptly. You don't get that chance so why, when given that chance, do you not take it?
You want to start a relationship with someone? Let that person know. Who cares if you're a woman? Women get to make the first move these days. It's 2015, for God's sake. Grow some and get some. What's the worst that could happen, the person laughs at you? Been there, done that, got a guy on 42nd street hawking the t shirt to the tourists. Life is about percentages. The only percentage that's guaranteed is .000. That's the exact percentage for the number of shots you make if you don't at least try to make one.
You can live your life with a lot of regrets. Don't let not telling someone how you feel be one of them.

I can certainly relate to this post. I agree especially in this world. I think it’s important to tell a person how you feel before it’s too late. If you love them say it proudly and show them. I look back at my life and I’m glad I took the chances I did as a woman even if the outcome wasn’t always great. I took the chance and told that person how I felt. From crushes to relationships it all applies let the people in your life or even ones you want know how you feel. Your right as woman takes a chance, if you get rejected you’ll get through it. I know I have and I’m pulling through it. I live by this motto for sure. Good write :)
